Emergency care
Assessment and first treatment for urgent illness and injury, day and night.
Our emergency team is on duty 24 hours a day. If you or someone with you is seriously unwell or injured, come straight to the hospital at 1-4 Chikaji Road, Sabon Gari, or call 0806 083 9148 on the way.
How we see patients
Patients are seen in order of clinical need, not arrival time. A nurse checks you first, records your vital signs and decides how urgently you need a doctor. Someone with chest pain, difficulty breathing or heavy bleeding is seen straight away.
What happens next
Depending on your condition, the doctor may order laboratory tests or imaging, start treatment, keep you under observation, admit you to a ward or refer you to a specialist centre. We explain each step to you and your family as it happens.
Coming in with a child
Bring the child's immunisation card and any medicines they take. Tell the nurse at once if the child is drowsy, struggling to breathe, fitting or not drinking.
NHIA patients
Emergency care is never delayed while we confirm insurance cover. Our NHIA desk sorts out authorisation once you are stable.
Common questions

Will you treat me before my NHIA cover is confirmed?
