Round-the-clock nursing and medical care for patients who need admission.
When you need to stay in hospital, you are cared for on one of our wards by nurses who are on duty day and night, with doctors reviewing you every day.
While you are with us
- Nurses check your vital signs, give your medicines on time and help with eating, washing and moving.
- Doctors review your progress on the ward round and explain changes to your treatment.
- Laboratory, imaging and pharmacy services come to you through the ward team.
Visitors
Family support helps recovery. Ask the ward nurse about visiting times, and please stay away if you have a cough or fever.
Going home
Before discharge, the team explains your diagnosis, your medicines and the warning signs that mean you should come back. You leave with a discharge summary and a follow-up date.
