Diagnostic laboratory
Blood, urine and other tests that guide diagnosis, with most results ready the same day.
Our laboratory runs the tests doctors rely on to make a diagnosis and check that treatment is working. Samples are collected, labelled and processed on site, and results go straight back to the doctor who requested them.
Common tests
- Full blood count and blood grouping
- Malaria parasite tests
- Blood sugar and other blood chemistry
- Urine and stool examination
- Widal and other tests for infection
- Pregnancy tests and antenatal screening
The doctor tells you which tests you need. You do not need a separate appointment.
Preparing for a test
Some tests, such as fasting blood sugar, need you to stop eating for a set time beforehand. The doctor or laboratory staff will tell you if your test needs preparation.
Quality
Every batch of tests runs with quality controls, and abnormal results are checked before they are released. If a result is urgent, we contact the doctor straight away.
